My only photos are old or blurry. Will it work?

Often, yes. The painting styles hide much of the grain and softness of an older photo. Try a few variations: as long as the face is recognizable, the portrait usually is too.

Will it still look like my pet?

Yes. The style is applied to your photo, so the coat colors, markings and expression carry over. Generate a few variations and keep the one that captures them best.

Is it a good sympathy gift for a friend?

Many people give one to a friend or family member who has lost a pet. Ask for a favorite photo, create the portrait, and order it framed so it arrives ready to hang.

Can I make one of a pet who is still with us?

Of course. Many owners create a portrait while their pet is older, from a recent photo. See our custom pet portraits for more styles and ideas.

Creating memorial portraits is part of a PicturaLabs plan, starting at $9 a month (€11 in the EU), and you can cancel anytime. Prints are priced separately by size, paper and frame, and you see the price before you order.

Which photos work, older photos, gifts and how printing works.

The one that feels most like them. It works best when the face and eyes are sharp and not too small in the frame. Phone photos are fine.
