Will everyone still look like themselves?

Yes. The style is applied to your photo, so faces, hair, clothes and poses carry over. Generate a few variations and keep the one where everyone looks most like themselves.

How many people can be in one portrait?

Small and large groups both work. The three-generation example on this page has six people and a dog. The more people, the larger the print should be so every face stays clear.

Can we include the dog or cat?

Of course. Pets in the photo are painted in the same style as everyone else, like the golden retriever on this page.

Is it a good gift for grandparents?

It’s one of the most popular uses: a family photo turned into a painting for a birthday, Christmas or an anniversary. Order it framed and it arrives ready to hang.

Creating family portraits is part of a PicturaLabs plan, starting at $9 a month (€11 in the EU), and you can cancel anytime. Prints are priced separately by size, paper and frame, and you see the price before you order.

FAMILY PORTRAIT QUESTIONS

Before you pick a photo

Which photos work, big groups, pets and gifts, and how printing works.

A bright photo where every face is visible and in focus, like a selfie on the sofa or a group shot in the garden. Phone photos are fine. Avoid shots where someone is half cut off or looking away.
